Navigating the Digital World Safely: WorldLink Internet Academy in Changunarayan

In today’s rapidly evolving digital world, the internet has become far more than just a tool. It is now a gateway to learning, communication, creativity, and endless opportunities. From classrooms to communities, technology has transformed the way we live, connect, and grow.

But as digital access expands and artificial intelligence becomes more powerful every day, the risks within the online world are growing just as quickly.

The internet can inspire learning, empower voices, and change lives. Yet when misused, it can also expose individuals especially young students to cybercrime, misinformation, online exploitation, digital addiction, and emotional harm.

At WorldLink Communications Ltd., we believe that digital access alone is not enough. People must also be equipped with the knowledge and awareness to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.

With this purpose, we continued the WorldLink Internet Academy (WIA) an initiative dedicated to educating young minds about internet safety, responsible digital behavior, online risks, and the real-life consequences of actions taken in the virtual world.

Our mission is simple, yet urgent:
To help build a generation that uses technology wisely, safely, and responsibly.

Under the leadership and initiative of Sallaghari Branch Manager Christina Bhattarai, the WIA program was successfully conducted across government schools within Changunarayan Municipality.

From 21st to 29th Mangsir 2082, our team reached more than 1,490 students from 19 different schools, engaging students from Grades 8 to 10 through interactive sessions, discussions, awareness activities, and meaningful conversations around digital wellbeing.

The sessions encouraged students not only to understand the dangers of the online world, but also to recognize the importance of kindness, responsibility, and critical thinking in digital spaces. Students openly shared experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and learned practical ways to protect themselves from online threats and cyber risks.

What made this initiative truly meaningful was witnessing how eager young minds are to learn and protect themselves when given the right guidance.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Changunarayan Municipality for their continuous support, trust, and coordination throughout the program. Their commitment to the digital wellbeing of students played a vital role in the successful implementation of this initiative.

Together, we are not only teaching students how to use the internet. We are helping them understand how to live responsibly in a digital world.

Because the future of technology depends not only on faster internet or smarter devices, but on creating informed, ethical, and digitally aware generations who can use technology to uplift themselves and their communities.

By guiding young minds today, we are working toward a safer, kinder, and more responsible digital future for tomorrow.
