Restoring Hope: A New Beginning at Gaurishankar Bal Griha
In the heart of Dolakha, where the scars of the 2015 earthquake still whisper through cracked walls and quiet memories, stood Gaurishankar Bal Griha—a children’s home that had long been a place of refuge, but one in desperate need of care.
At WorldLink CSR, we believe every child deserves a safe space to dream, grow, and feel loved. That’s why, as part of our ongoing commitment to rebuilding lives and restoring dignity, we took on the mission to renovate this home. What began on August 22, 2024, was more than a construction project—it was a promise.
Over the months, we worked hand in hand with local communities to breathe new life into the space. We repaired its broken structure, replaced shattered windows and doors, rebuilt toilets and bathrooms, and installed essential water and sanitation systems. We added waterproofing to protect against harsh weather and repainted the walls—inside and out—with warmth and care.
On November 11, 2024, we handed over a home that feels whole again. A place where laughter can echo safely within the walls. A place where children can sleep peacefully, knowing they are protected and valued.
This effort, in partnership with the Nepal Children’s Organization, was more than bricks and paint—it was about restoring hope. Hope that no child is forgotten. Hope that healing is possible. Hope that the future can, and will, be brighter.
At WorldLink CSR, we remain deeply committed to building not just infrastructure, but resilience—and nurturing the human spirit in every corner of our country.
