Spotlight: “Develop-Her” Workshop — Empowering the Next Generation of Women in Tech

Every year, International Youth Day serves as a reminder of the boundless energy, talent, and potential that young people hold. At WorldLink CSR, we believe in investing in this potential—not just in words, but in action. This year, we proudly marked the occasion with a powerful initiative designed to uplift and empower young women pursuing careers in technology.

From August 12 to 14, 2024, in collaboration with The Algorithm Club at Padma Kanya Campus, we hosted the “Develop-Her” Web Development Workshop—a three-day immersive training that brought together 25 first- and second-year IT students, all eager to take their first steps into the world of web development.

This wasn’t just another coding workshop. It was a safe space where curiosity was encouraged, confidence was nurtured, and skills were built from the ground up. The workshop focused on front-end development, giving participants hands-on experience in designing and coding real-world web applications—skills often left untouched in the classroom.

For many of the young women who joined us, this was their first exposure to practical tech training outside their academic curriculum. They not only learned how to write clean code and build user-friendly interfaces, but also discovered the power of collaboration, problem-solving, and believing in their own potential.

The energy in the room was electric—filled with determination, laughter, and the quiet pride of young women realizing they can belong in tech, that their voices matter, and that they have the tools to shape the future.

By the end of the workshop, every participant walked away not just with a certificate, but with something far more lasting: a sense of purpose and possibility.

At WorldLink CSR, we are committed to breaking down barriers and opening doors—especially for girls and young women in STEM fields. The “Develop-Her” workshop is just one step in our ongoing journey to create equal opportunities and nurture the changemakers of tomorrow.

Because when we empower youth, especially young women, we don’t just change their lives—we change the world.
