Restoring Dignity, Breaking Stigma, and Embracing Womanhood with Confidence

In the quiet classrooms of Shree Chemawati Madhyamik Bidhyalaya, Dolakha, something powerful happened on August 23, 2024—something that reached far beyond textbooks and blackboards.

With open hearts and a deep commitment to dignity and empowerment, WorldLink CSR conducted a one-day Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) training for girls from Grades 6 to 12. But this was more than a workshop—it was a safe space. A moment of truth-telling, confidence-building, and collective healing.

In many parts of Nepal, menstruation is still clouded in silence, shame, and misinformation. For young girls, this silence can become a barrier—not just to health, but to education, self-esteem, and opportunity. We believe no girl should feel ashamed of her body, nor miss school because of something as natural as her period.

During the session, trained facilitators gently guided discussions around puberty, menstrual cycles, hygiene practices, and embracing womanhood—all through a lens of care, science, and empowerment. Girls asked questions they had been too afraid to voice before. They listened, they learned, and they left stronger.

But the day didn’t end there.

In a gesture of solidarity, staff from our branch and regional teams donated school stationery, clothes, and sanitary pads—extending support not just to those in the training, but to all students from ECD to higher grades. These simple items carry deep meaning. They say: You matter. Your education matters. Your health matters.

Through this effort, we didn’t just talk about dignity—we helped restore it. We didn’t just teach hygiene—we nurtured hope, pride, and the belief that every girl has the right to thrive.

At WorldLink CSR, we are committed to creating a world where no girl feels left behind—where knowledge replaces fear, and where womanhood is celebrated, not stigmatized.

because when girls are empowered, entire communities rise.
