WorldLink is Nepal’s largest Internet and Network Service Provider, and one of the country’s most influential IT companies. Established in September 1995 by Chairman and Managing Director Dileep Agrawal, the company began by offering store-and-forward email services via dial-up connectivity to the United States. With a strong focus on innovation and growth, WorldLink soon expanded its services, introducing full Internet access through a dedicated leased-line connection to the US Internet backbone via Teleglobe International. Between 1997 and June 2008, WorldLink operated its own VSAT terminal, enabling direct satellite uplink connectivity and completely bypassing Nepal Telecommunications Corporation—setting a strong foundation for technological independence and nationwide expansion.
