क्रिकेटका लागि आवश्यक पर्ने इन्टरनेट सम्बन्धी सम्पूर्ण पूर्वाधार अब वर्ल्डलिंकले प्रदान गर्ने ।
काठमाडौं : देशकै सबैभन्दा ठूलो इन्टरनेट सेवा प्रदायक कम्पनी वर्ल्डलिंक कम्युनिकेशन्स लिमिटेडले नेपालमा क्रिकेटका लागि आवश्यक पर्ने इन्टरनेट सम्बन्धी सम्पूर्ण पूर्वाधार प्रदान गर्ने भएको छ । देशमा क्रिकेटको स्तरोन्नति गर्न आवश्यक कनेक्टिभिटी सम्बन्धी हरेक पूर्वाधार प्रदान गर्ने विषयमा वर्ल्डलिंक र क्रिकेट संघ नेपाल बीच मिति २०८०।०१।०५ मङ्गलबार आपसी समझदारी पत्रमा हस्ताक्षर भएको हो ।
त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालय अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय क्रिकेट मैदान कीर्तिपुरमा भएको उक्त समझदारी पत्रमा वर्ल्डलिंकको तर्फबाट कम्पनीका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत केशव नेपाल र क्यानको तर्फबाट दुर्गा राज पाठकले हस्ताक्षर गरेका छन् । तीन वर्षका लागि भएको यो सम्झौताको अवधि दुवै पक्षबीचको आपसी समझदारीमा थप समयका लागि विस्तार हुन सक्ने बताइएको छ ।
समझदारीमा हस्ताक्षरका लागि आयोजित कार्यक्रममा कम्पनीका सीईओ केशव नेपालले वर्ल्डलिंक देशको सबैभन्दा ठूलो इन्टरनेट सेवा प्रदायक भएको नाताले पनि देशको खेललाई बिस्तार तथा प्रर्वधन गर्नु आफूहरूको जिम्मेवारी भएको बताए ।
“हामीले देशका दुर्गम स्थानहरूमा पनि सेवा उपलब्ध गराइरहेका छौं । पछिल्लो समय खेलमा पनि नेपालले प्रगति गरिरहेको छ । यसलाई देशका हरेक कुनाकुना सम्म पुर्याउनु हाम्रो दायित्व हो । यही कुरालाई मनन गर्दै हामीले खेल प्रवर्द्धनमा सहयोग गरेका हौं,” उनले भने ।
सम्झौता अनुसार वल्र्डलिंकले नेपाल क्रिकेट संघ (क्यान) को आवश्यकता अनुसार देशभर वैकल्पिक अप्टिकल फाइबर सहितको इन्टरनेट सुविधा उपलब्ध गराउने छ ।
Now all the required infrastructure of the Internet for cricket will be provided by WorldLink:
Kathmandu: WorldLink Communications, the largest internet service provider in Nepal, will provide all the necessary internet infrastructure for cricket in Nepal. A mutual understanding was signed on 18th April 2023, Tuesday between WorldLink and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) regarding the provision of all necessary infrastructure related to connectivity to upgrade the level of cricket in the country.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding was held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. It was signed by Keshav Nepal, Chief Executive Officer, WorldLink, and Durga Raj Pathak, on behalf of CAN. It is said that the period of this agreement of three years can be extended for more time by mutual agreement between both parties.
Keshav Nepal, the CEO of the WorldLink, participated in the event and stated that
“We also provide services to remote areas of the country. Moreover, Nepal is also progressing, even in sports. It is our aim to reach every corner of the country. Let us help in promoting our sports while thinking about this,” he said.
According to the agreement, WorldLink will provide a dedicated internet facility with optional optical fiber all over the country, as required by the Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN).
